The Hickstead App

Following on from the success of the Hickstead App that we launched last year, we have spent the winter designing updates that will make the App even more indispensable to vistors and competitors alike - we are confident that the App will be the must have accessory for all Hicksteadites this season.

Packed to the brim with great features, it will not only help you find your favourite shop, it will also come in real handy for competitors as it will provide live updates and results. We may even become the busy grooms' new best friends, as the live updates will reduce the amount of running around to different rings checking on class timings! And for those of you enjoying a more leisurely day out at Hickstead, you will find full details of all of our restaurants and bars so you can find the perfect spot for you and your friends, before you even arrive at the showground!

Will it be wellies or wedges? Finally, you can make the decision before you leave home, with a live local Hickstead weather broadcast right from your App. There's even an in-built map that gives you traffic updates and directions straight to our door.

We will be running regular App related prize giveaways, with some fabulous goodies up for grabs, as well as a facebook photo competition. You can even make sure your twitter fans don't miss a second of the action by tweeting direct from the App.

And if all that isn't enough, there is even a special Augmented Reality section where you can simply take a photo of where you are on the showground and, hey presto, directions and useful information will pop up on the interactive map!
