Horse Shows at Hickstead
Hickstead is the home of British showjumping. Having celebrated
our Golden Anniversary in 2010, we are very much looking forward to
another 50 years at the pinnacle of world equestrian sport. Whilst
our two flagship summer meetings The British Jumping Derby Meeting
and the Longines Royal International Horse Show remain two
highlights of the international equestrian calendar, Hickstead has
become renowned for so much more.
Nearly 100,000 spectators flock to our Sussex showground
annually to watch stars from practically every equestrian
discipline compete, from polo and dressage to eventing, showing and
carriage driving, not to mention the miniature ponies... the only
difficulty is choosing on which day to come!
However, for those less 'equinely-inclined' there is still
plenty to tempt. Our retail village boasts literally hundreds of
shops to explore and the showground has countless bars and
restaurants to suit every vistitor's tastes and ensure that your
visit to Hickstead will be unforgettable.
