Lucie's transport prayers are answered thanks to Harcour

More than 5,000 people entered our prize draw to win a Cheval Liberté two-horse trailer, courtesy of equestrian fashion brand Harcour, and today the lucky winner was presented with her prize.

The winner was Lucie Lowen from Farnham in Surrey. A keen showjumper, Lucie has been without transport since last year so the prize couldn't have come at a better time.

"I showjump, and I've got an amazing little mare who has just stepped up to 1.30m level, but I felt she was being wasted with me not being able to get out to any shows," says Lucie.

"I was praying, wishing and hoping to get some transport so I could start competing again, so I couldn't believe it when I got the phone call telling me I had won the trailer."

Lucie was given the two-horse trailer by Claire Colgate, who is the UK Sales Manager for Harcour, during a special presentation held in the International Arena.

"It's stunning, I'm so grateful," added Lucie, who keeps her horse at Northbrook Park and works as a freelance groom for Bryony Holloway.

Now that she has transport, Lucie has been busy making a show plan for the next few months, and with any luck she might make it here to Hickstead herself next season.

"Fingers crossed, that would be the dream! I can't wait to get out on the road," she added.

For Claire Colgate, the prize draw has been the perfect opportunity to launch the Harcour fashion brand in the UK market.

"Being a new brand, we wanted to launch it here in a big way - and we felt the best way to do this was at one of the most prestigious shows, by giving away an amazing prize," she explained.

"After lots of suggestions we came up with the idea of the trailer prize, then the collaboration with Cheval Liberte came about and and we both felt it was a really good way to put us on the map in the UK."

Claire is delighted with the response to the prize draw, which was this year's featured Hickstead giveaway, and is already looking forward to coming back to Hickstead next year.
