The DFS British Jumping Derby is one of those events a bit like the Grand National where its not just the runners and riders that make the headlines but the course itself. Its an iconic showjumping contest, the like of which you won't find anywhere else in the world, no other course asks this much of a test of horse and rider and no other course creates this type of drama.' In addition to the course of which BBC Sport says 'forget about the 28 fences that Grand National runners have to leap over at Aintree - these are child's play when compared to Hickstead's monsters', our British Jumping Derby Meeting hosts a full range of junior and senior national showjumping classes, with something for nearly every caliber of affiliated rider. In addition to this the many showing qualifiers we host for the Horse of the Year Show, and Hickstead's famous Mini Challenge must not be overlooked. In short, the British Jumping Derby Meeting showcases equestrian talent from nearly every age and ability, and is a must for any horse-lover!
