Qualifying stories: Leo Selcon-Park

Leo, 11, has autism, but he hasn't let it get in the way of his riding ambitions

We love hearing stories about people who have qualified to compete here at Hickstead.

Leo Selcon-Park's story is particularly special. The 11-year-old has autism, and can struggle with simple tasks. But his life has been changed for the better since discovering a love for ponies and riding.

Since taking up the sport, he has began competing in showing classes. Riding his 12hh skewbald pony Southhill Farm Toy Boy, Leo recently picked up his Hickstead ticket in the coloured classes at Keysoe.

He is now looking forward to competing at the Longines Royal International Horse Show this summer. We wish Leo the very best of luck.
