We've had some beautiful, albeit rather chilly, winter sunshine in the past week - but we're definitely looking forward to the arrival of spring, some warmer weather and the start of our competition season! But while we've still got a while to wait for our international shows, we haven't been short of equestrian action here at Hickstead with our first Arena Polo tournament of 2022. Since it's January, it's a good time to deliver some money-saving options so in this issue of our newsletter you can make savings on booking our cross-country schooling facilities, plus there's a 10% discount across our official Hickstead clothing range. Our Box Office is now open and you can also save money by booking in advance, with 10% off tickets and parking compared to our gate prices. Don't forget, under-15s go free every day of our season except Al Shira'aa Derby day when booked in advance.  

Congratulations to Hickstead-based Shane Breen, who has had a fantastic run of results at the CSIO5* show in Abu Dhabi. Not only did Shane win the Grand Prix on Friday with Z7 Ipswich, the pair also helped Ireland to the victory in Sunday's Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup. Remarkably, the entire Irish team was made out of Breens and Breen Equestrian graduates - with Shane's brother Trevor, Jack Ryan and David Simpson making up the victorious quartet. Congratulations as well to Georgia Tame, another rider based at Hickstead, who was on the third-placed British team alongside Donald Whitaker and William Funnell; while host nation UAE finished in second place and picked up a qualifying ticket for the Barcelona final.

We have some special offers for those making group bookings. To bring four horses for one hour of schooling, it costs £120 - a saving of £24. To get exclusive hire for up to eight horses, it costs £240 per hour, which is a saving of £48.
