The Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby Meeting (21-24 June 2018) will be broadcast live for the first time on ClipMyHorse.TV.

This international streaming platform already shows many of the world’s top equestrian events, and Hickstead’s famous Derby Meeting is the latest to join its prestigious line up.

ClipMyHorse.TV will be showing all the action from the International Arena from Thursday onwards, including the Bunn Leisure Derby Trial, the British Speed Derby and the iconic Al Shira’aa Derby itself. The feature classes will be shown as multi-camera productions, with Gareth Jenkins and three-time Hickstead Derby winner John Ledingham commentating on the action.

In addition, they will also be streaming the national showjumping and showing classes from Ring Three, which has been renamed the ClipMyHorse.TV Ring 3 to reflect the company’s support of the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead.

“We are delighted to be able to bring such a traditional and prestigious show as the Al Shira'aa Hickstead Derby to our viewers across the world,” said Philippa Unway from ClipMyHorse.TV. “We're incredibly happy and proud to be working with the great team at Hickstead, and together we will be creating the best possible viewing experience.”

All classes and rounds from the International Arena and Ring 3 will be available to watch and download in the ClipMyHorse.TV media library almost immediately, which will allow riders to purchase clips of their Hickstead performances.

In addition, the event will be streamed live on the existing Hickstead.TV platform. Both Hickstead.TV and ClipMyHorse.TV will be showing the live event as free to view, while ClipMyHorse.TV will also have On Demand classes and clips available to members only.

Highlights of the Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby Meeting, produced by ClipMyHorse.TV, will also be televised on Sky Sports and Horse & Country TV shortly after the event.

The Al Shira’aa Derby will premiere at 8pm on Wednesday 27 June on the Sky Sports Action channel, which is available to all Sky Sports subscribers.

The class will also be shown on Horse & Country TV, along with the popular British Speed Derby class. The Al Shira’aa Derby will be shown on the channel at 8pm on Tuesday 3 July and the Speed Derby will premiere on Wednesday 11 July at 9pm. The classes will be available to view on Sky 184 or via the Horse & Country website and app. H&C TV is available in the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Australia and North America, giving viewers from around the world the chance to view two of British showjumping’s most popular competitions.

“We’re pleased to be showcasing our famous event to an even greater number of viewers worldwide, in particular thanks to ClipMyHorse.TV’s growing audience of dedicated equestrian fans,” says Hickstead Director Lizzie Bunn.
